Day 8: April 19, 2002 - 5.0 hrs
Began stitching the panels together today -- the pieces of wood are now beginning to resemble a hull. It's quite amazing how the boat naturally takes it's form. To get the pieces of wire near the bow and stern close enough to join the panel above, I found it easier to drill a hole near the bow and stern (about 1/4" from the bow and stern ends) and insert a wire through before adding the panel above. This was much easier than trying to wiggle a piece through the holes where there isn't much room to maneuver (after adding the second panel, I ended up removing the first panel wires near the bow and stern to insert the wires that would attach the second panels).
