July 12 - The wet out

Instead of using the System 3 General Purpose Resin provided with the kit, I purchased some System 3 Clear Coat to use on the deck. It is mixed and applied exactly as the General Purpose Resin.
Clear Coat has a very low viscocity and as it's name suggests, is almost completely clear. I found it to be much easier to do the wet out since the epoxy is a lot thinner than the General Purpose Resin -- this epoxy penetrates the fiberglass cloth much more effectively. It also was a lot easier to squeegee the excess epoxy away from the cloth.
