Another setback
|
When I had trimmed the fiberglass at the masking taped line below the shear, I had a difficult time seeing the difference between the cut mark and the masking tape. When sanding the hull and upon close inspection, I realized that there were several locations along the tape line where a small sliver of masking tape remained. I had no choice but to take the time to remove any straggling pieces (which turned out to be more than just a few here and there). Using sandpaper and an exacto knife, I painstakingly removed any signs of the tape. This required nearly 4 hours of work to just remove the tape and fair out the top hull panel.
