July 26 - Epoxying the edges
|
The edges of the newly cut hatches must be sealed with epoxy. I sanded the opening (carefully, and not too much) before applying a thin coat of epoxy. Once this coat of epoxy cures, I'll give it a light sanding and repeat the process until I've got three or four layers of epoxy on the edge.
Note that I put paper on the hull under the hatch area to catch any drips.
