An additional step
|
Because the shear clamp was glued to the hull early, I had to somehow at this stage, temporarily attach the deck to the hull for sanding and glassing. I cut small slots in the plastic on the shear clamp and will apply a small dab of hot glue to hold the deck in place. After the deck is fiberglassed, I'll use a putty knife to gently pry the hot glue loose. Note that I applied a small piece of tape below each glue location to aid in locating the exact spots to pry.
