Lining up with a string line
As per the instructions, I attached the two end forms to the form blocks and clamped a stick along the centre line on the form. A string line is positioned in between the two end forms and is used to ensure that the keel of the boat is in perfect alignment.

I used a thin, black string line and am glad that I did as it made lining the form up easier as the highly visible line contrasted with the colour of the forms. I placed the string about 4-5" above the tops of the end forms.

There is an ongoing discussion about this build in our forums in the "Boat and Accessory Building" section. If you have any questions or comments, please post them in the thread titled "Bear Mountain Enterprise - Building Q&A"
