Lining up with a string line
|
As per the instructions, I attached the two end forms to the form blocks and clamped a stick along the centre line on the form. A string line is positioned in between the two end forms and is used to ensure that the keel of the boat is in perfect alignment.
I used a thin, black string line and am glad that I did as it made lining the form up easier as the highly visible line contrasted with the colour of the forms. I placed the string about 4-5" above the tops of the end forms.
