Dec 14 - Hull shape is formed!
|
|
As the song goes... it's beginning to look a lot like, uh, well, a hull! With the hull panels clamped flush at the ends, the keel edge is then stitched in place about every 2" for the first foot and a half of keel line. From there on, stitches every 6" or so are adequate. In the distance you can see the rest of the temporary bow frame, which gives shape to the hull at a specific position. There will be another frame inserted very close to the bow and stern, making for a total of 5 temporary frames while the hull is epoxied together and the shape is permanently formed.
