Deus Delighted kayaks

I haven't, but my experience with plumb bows has shown me that they collect weeds. I would assume an inverted bow would amplify that behaviour.

Paddling through kelp would likely suck majorly.

Those 'Deus' plans are expensive - 290 EUR and up- about double what Bjorn Thomasson and Nick Schade (Guillemot) charge.
Even more expensive is the feeling of wasted labour and materials, if the kayak doesn't perform as hoped.
Like @CPS, I predict excitement when near kelp.
And, surfing down a wave in a submarine? No, thanks.
I also don't find the deck shape very appealing, but tastes vary.
Apparently God likes them? :)

I think it's kinda cool looking, so maybe that's enough?

"It's" because all the 'models' are essentially variations on the same layout. Maybe for kelp/weeds one could have a curved wire cutwater attachment called the 'halo'. But you gotta give cudos for the effort.

The deeply recessed front hatch on the Zenith_SG Long Version looks like it will kick up water on the front deck into the paddler's face. This video of it surfing shows it happening a few times.

Interesting designs though, and beautifully finished examples on their website.

The reverse bow reminds me of the Sturgeon-Nose Canoe (pictured below in original and modern materials) used historically by the Sinixt, Ktunaxa, and Kalispel First Nations.

The conditions in the video look wonderful! It really does throw water, though.

Hey, cool reference, sthwaits.

A possible antecedent, to the kutenai canoe, is the 'omorochka' [smallboat/canoe in russian], a Nanai [but used by other ethnicities] bark boat that also incorporated a reverse bow, but added a built in a forward upcurve that would act as a cutwater or weed-rejector.
It was used in the Amur River, but also out in the ocean too.

On the edge of more open water:

with a sail: [note the V-mast 1929 style! take that Philip!]

Oh yeah, note that these have a little rocker, too! Oh yeah, and a deck.
but returning to the Deus kayaks, they could have an attachment for weed situations, and/or maybe something as a water deflector too.
