Does a Tanker Moratorium have implications for kayaks

    There is much bleating and beating of breasts over west coast tanker moratoriums in the wake of the drilling accident in the Gulf of Mexico.

    I thought it would be timely to bring the topic forward again just in case anyone might think there are not implications for kayakers should there be successful legislation banning certain classes of vessels from certain waters.

    One thing for sure...any hope/thought of offshore drilling rigs on the coast of B.C. has been eliminated for good.
    (no complaint here)

    As far as tanker traffic...I think it will be deemed a different debate.

    Vessel restrictions that will include kayaks...nah.
    I think the only 'Access Restrictions' that will effect kayaks will be specific First Nation locations.
