My Pilgrim Expedition’s skeg does not retract 100%. What are the steps to adjust it so it has the full range of positions? It is 8 years old so no surprise I need to do this.

Find the right size allen key & loosen skeg slider (near cockpit).
Push on the skeg to push it into the skeg box
Move slider rearwards if needed. Tighten slider. See if that fixes it.
    Adjust slider position as needed.

    Still a problem?
If cable is kinked, replace it.
If there are any obstructions inside the skeg box, remove them.

Cable is not kinked and there is no obstruction. Cables slowly stretch, or at least derailleur and brake cables do, so maybe that’s the reason.

    Thanks for the quick response!

I can't count how many times I tried to readjust my bike's rear derailleur , over and over , only to realize I needed new cables. The small increase in cable to housing friction fools me every time. I think you are on to something.
