Wow, what an ambitious journey. I'm not sure why the paper reported him as a 'kayaker' in a kayak. He wasn't in anything resembling a kayak. More like a large, peddle powered boat.
I agree, not a kayak at all.

well what ever it is called his journey ended with him being rescued from the Bering Sea today.
In the rescue photo it DOES appear to be an overturned kayak. I'm wondering if he carried that kayak on his specially designed boat? Certainly from the drawings the pedal boat certainly did not appear to be a kayak.
