Wow! With that many paddlers, I think whoever has the portapotty concession will be a very rich person after it is all over! Becky and I will be thinking of all of you up there, in the sunshine!

What a flame-out under the pavilion.

Zealous adherents to the Church of Trangia blazing away with the wheezing but strident white gas warriors. Don't try this at home kids.

Good point. I think the Pavillion tarp will be a no-flame zone this year.

I am still in Dan! I'll be leaving Smuggler's cove around mid-day on either Friday or Saturday.

Mike, I may take the Friday off if you're still still interested in the day paddle. The current will be against us for much of a Sunday return so I may try to arrange a third party pick-up in Sidney if there's no roof-rack-begging-room back to Vic with others on the trip.... :D

I'm likely to make it, too. I won't be able to leave until Saturday. But may stay a day or two after the weekend.

I lost one companion to Kauai Island so I will be there with 1-2 friends, but we eat a lot :)

I will bring some cheese and olive type of thing since I don't have time to shop in Canada, But if anyone bringing any meat and big frying pan, I will bring "THAT SAUCE".

Man, that's a lot of people!
I'm still hoping to head over on Thursday already, but that leaves me struggling with the pot luck meal... I had in mind to create some type of stew but getting there that early will give me the challenge of keeping stuff from spoiling...
Therefore I may settle for crackers with cheese, some wine and maybe dessert.

 OR: I could arrange a supply run on Saturday morning to get what I need in town :D

So, what is your guys meal plan?

    Next question:
    Tent or Hammock?

@Dan: Would it be possible to bring a handful of WCP business cards for us to take home? That way it would be easier to promote your great forum while meeting other paddlers! Or maybe you could just email a pdf file we could print out at home?

    Just an idea....

Andreas: I have some cards for you. Let's meet up some time.

Maybe, if I get my act together quickly, I'll be able to create a little video of the event like this one: 8)

Nope, but I'm hoping to have something on floats by then. If the seas are dead calm I can take off from water - otherwise I can do a hand launch and land on... well, I'll figure something out. Would be neat to have some aerial views of paddlers though - I suddenly have a few ideas for a new wallpaper image! :D

It looks like I'll be coming to the camp out this year. Gotta fix my boat, drag my camping gear out of the attic and blow off the dust and then see if I still remember how to keep my boat upright. 8)
