I am planning a trip that needs to go through Seymour narrows/ripple rock. Any suggestions to how I should approach this area? I have some kayak experience however I have never been in this location. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Longwing.

I have kayaked through Seymour Narrows many times.
PM me with detailed questions including dates.

What a wonderful, detailed, and researched report. Quite remarkable. Amazing.

Al, that information is a guidebook. It needs publishing, whether on paper or as a PDF document. I'm serious.

A glance at the tracks in those two links boggles the mind. Methinks you are on a first name basis with a good fraction of the molecules of water which have passed through those two areas.

If that project is too daunting for Nootka, he might enlist the help of John Kimantis.

    Thanks for the comments.
Maybe I'll expand the area covered into a guidebook, or maybe someone else will.

For now the idea is to present an alternative to the fearmongering that surrounds Discovery Passage & Seymour Narrows..
Campbell River has some excellent paddling, but it is not well known.
