About 2 years ago Doug and I kayaked down the North Thompson River from McClure to Kamloops. Since the weather this weekend looked so promising we thought we would kayak the South Thompson.

We put in at the Lafarge concrete plant (Lafarge Road and Shuswap Road) on Saturday morning.

The sun was out and the reflections were gorgeous.

There are a lot of places to stop for a break along the river.

The Wanda-Sue is an old paddle wheel boat that used to take people up and down the South Thompson back in it's day.

Our drivers picked us up at the boat launch at Pioneer Park.

There was a bit of a current with us which made the paddle nice and easy. 20 K 3 hours. Enjoyable paddle.
