One of my joys in kayaking is seeing waterfowl. Of course, I particularly enjoy the posts by Alex Sidles, often accompanied by his splendid photos. Recently I came across a documentary about Norway's attempts to restore the Eider Duck population. It will be boring to many, but I found it fascinating. I have not yet read The Place of Tides by James Rebanks about the same project, but it’s on my list. Here’s a link to the documentary for those who might be interested in the Eider Duck:
