VI winter circumnavigation

    Well Calvin Croll cleared Brooks Peninsula and is making his way to Cape Scott. Enough of us on this group have paddled those waters to understand the accomplishment thus far and the risk management skills required to clear the Cape and make the run for home down the east coast of the island. Sending him warm dry thoughts.

    He seems to be at Cape Scott at this point and ready to go downhill. Lots more civilization on this side of the island ... but not easy, nor free of danger.

    Looks like Calvin is in Comox as of yesterday! He's really picking up some speed on this side! He's getting pretty close to the finish line. I hope he got some of the sun we had on the lower mainland yesterday, he sure deserves a bit of sun after the nasty wet and windy winter weather he experienced on the west coast. Pretty tough guy going around the island this time of year. Hats off to him!
