Fall is just around the corner, we went again for a day paddle to Lake Wolfgang.

I bought a Hennessy Hammock (Desert Rat) and wanted to set it up for the first time!

However, the paddle was short, it turned out that yours truly forgot to bring the kayak seats!

We enjoyed a nice afternoon on our favorite beach, reading, swimming in crystall clear water and taking naps in the HH.

Willi, if we ever go paddling together can you please leave the Speedo at home.

Seriously, those are some really nice looking spots where you paddle.

Guys, i was wearing the speedos only for the fotos

As i mentioned last week, most of the kayakers are wearing only their birthday suits.

I was trolling by and thought I had mistakenly clicked on to one of my "Men Only" sites. Please, let us not let the "Speedo Divide" between East and West tear us apart. Beautiful pictures Willi and I commend your bravery....

    Oh God!
Andreas in lederhosen ( am I right spelling?), Willi in speedo... and Mark is suggesting Dan to wear those, or maybe he wants one pair for himself...
What should I wear?? "Fundoshi"  :?:

I don't know where to look at..I need sunglasses... very dark pair... and a drink too... We need new T-shirts too!!

And Jurgenk, I don't think Willi needs bravery, he is just natural.

Oh my God! I am afraid to go to bed now

Could be worse, Sushi. Take a gander at my family. I'm the one with the paper bag between his legs.

That's a pretty cool shirt you've got on there, Dave.

Thanks. That photo is circa 1992, so the shirt is long gone. The petroglyph special, enhanced with a bunch of characters from Matt Groening's "Life in Hell" cartoon series ... dating from before the Simpsons, I think.

I managed to get to spend a week in the Okanagan, near Oyama. I was able to get out every day and also spend a half hour or so practicing rolls in warm fresh water.
On my last day I was able to get out with fellow WCPers Kasey and Candy for a nice paddle in Okanagan lake.

Last Sunday I joined a couple of customers from work, one of my coworkers and her mother, one of the owners of Delta Kayaks, and my daughter on a paddle up Indian Arm from Belcarra Park. We paddled a total of 16 km going to Twin Islands and Deep Cove before returning to Belcarra Park. In all, it was a very interesting and fun day.

    Leaving Belcarra Park:

Stopped for lunch on Twin Islands - note the Outback Oven in the lower right corner.
    Mmmm... brownies:

We arrived at Deep Cove to discover that there was a community event going on -- we decided to listen to some live blues music and pick up an ice cream cone:

Kayaks on the beach at Deep Cove:

On our way back to Belcarra Park there were a number of sailboats in the arm -- we decided rather than cutting in front of this one that we'd follow it across:

Back at Belcarra Park, my coworker gives my daughter a rolling lesson:

Took my g/f out for her first early evening/ night paddle along the shore of Crescent beach last night as it was an almost full moon. The weather was fantastic.

[thought I had posted this earlier, but it seems to have disappeared]
As summer draws to a close, I squeezed as much Kayaking time out of August as I could.
