Last weekend Doug and I paddled up to Moyer Creek Campground on Alouette Lake. We headed up early Friday evening after work and managed to get a nice camp site.

After a late dinner it was off to bed. The next day, Saturday, we were hoping for the sunshine that had been predicted, but it didn't really materialize. But there was no rain so I was a happy camper! We paddled up to the end of the lake on Saturday after a late breakfast.

We enjoyed a lazy evening Saturday night. There was not a lot of activity on the lake so it was quiet.

Sunday morning the sun came out and it was a gorgeous day. We again had a leisurely breakfast and then packed up the kayaks for the 1.5 hour paddle to the boat launch. It was really nice not having so much gear as we normally have for our bigger trips.

By the time we got to the boat launch it was so so busy... crazy busy. We were glad to be off the water by then. It was like boat soup!
