    Mark,

That first photo is of Hot Sand Beach. At high tide you could surf in on your Explorer...once the tide goes out, dig yourself a pit and relax in your own geo thermal spa. Now that would be one KILLER venue!!

The transition from coastline and back inland is amazing. You just never know what’s waiting for you around the corner. That second photo was taken from a not-so-special roadside pullout. No one around but us and then out of the blue was this gorgeous little beach.

Photo #3 is picturesque Picton Harbor looking out towards Queen Charlotte Sound.

The last image was taken from Cape Foulwind in Westland National Park. At first glimpse, what we thought were small boulders or large stones on the distant beach between the point and the rock islets, turned out to be something different altogether. That is when we detected some slight movement. A closer photo reveals what the objects were.

I whipped together another short video of last Friday's paddle in cold, clear Cordova Bay. Nothing too exciting in this one; I was experimenting a bit with camera placement and different angles. And it was far too cold to get overly wet.

Good thing I've got some new video editing software... I will have to chroma key out Elvis' blue drytop and replace it with a PFD....

    Looks good Mark 8)

    Nice place to paddle Batstar!!

    And guys...
Why don't you just wear it! Guys in PFD looks waaaay sexier than not wearing it. It is like a cop without gun or coast guad resuer without helmet... Just looks like "not complet"

There's no-one out there to look sexy for anyway! That's probably a good thing.

I was wearing mine so I won't comment on reasons for or against.

Following some insightful critique from DarrenM, an updated version is in the works. 8)

It is a Body Glove PFD, and yes it is black I got it at Costco and paid $ 35.00

for it. BUT it is not a proper kayaking PFD (but hell at least I got one  )
it is meant for waterskiing, I did not know this at the time of purchase thou ( that there is a difference ) I am upgrading to a proper one for next season ( not for that reason but for a better fit, as it is getting to small)

If you want it Darren I am sure we could trade for something :?: some beer?
