Hi,
Here is a photo of the canoe I built and gave my daughter. The design for this SOF boat was by Dave Gentry with modifications by myself. It is a Wee Lassie-type boat meant to be paddled like a kayak with a double-bladed paddle.
The boat is 13.5 feet long and weighs about 27 pounds. The skin is poly from Jeff Horton and the lashed together frame is made of 1/2 " marine plywood with Western Red Cedar stringers. The skin is sealed with Rustoleum oil-based paint.
It was a fun boat to build and a joy to paddle.

I think you've put together a simply lovely composition: from color, coloration, wood choice, interior, exterior and form.
Just simple and beautiful.

That is a very interesting form.
What kind of paddling are you planning to do in it.
Lake
River or
Ocean?
I like the Red Green colors ,
In the water it might look just red - from a distance.

We use this type of boat on flat water rivers, typically in the Adirondacks of upstate New York and on lakes. I also hunt carp with a bow in the backwaters of the Hudson River from these boats.
