Bill C4, Lets make our voices heard!!

OK, I have seen a different thread on this bill, the one which will let industry "explore" parks for pipelnes and transmission lines etc... We need to nip this in the bud...
Here is what lots of people are now doing... sending Christie Clarke an email to protest this, we are voters and have a voice...
Below is the address for the Premiere, and an example of what to send
MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!

Premier Clarke,

PLEASE!!!! Cancel bill C4
Revoke the Park Boundary Adjustment Policy.
Our parks need more protection, not less....we have far too little of parkland as it is, do not let industry destroy anymore.
Protect it, at all costs....it is more valuable than money, and you know it!

To clarify, I think you are talking about the provincial Bill 4 – Park Amendment Act.
C4 is a federal budget implementation bill.

I am afraid you are a little late to the party. Mary Polak's Bill 4 (Park Amendment Act, 2014) was written into law (Royal Ascent) two days ago, March 24th.

Dang! It was just in the Times Colonist on Monday....where to send our email, or how to even call Christy by phone, now I am going to dig up that issue and see what is up!
Well, not my favorite paper, but the only one we've got....
Not sure what else to say....

I just signed the petition. I sent several e-mail and letters before it was passed but apparently they didn't help because Bill 4 was passed anyhow. Given the lack of effort by the gov't to solicit public input, and how fast the bill went through, I'm skeptical that they were interested in any public input at all and had their mind made up that they were going to pass the bill regardless of public sentiment...
