T, I responded elsewhere, so I'll lay low here on Folbots (I have owned three: two singles and a double), and currently have a Kodiak and a Cooper in my kayak sanctuary.

I've ran into a few people on the water with Kleppers and Feathercraft kayaks and have yet to hear any negative comments -- they all like them. Haven't seen a Folbot on the water yet.

I wouldn't mind having a folder at some point -- imagine all the remote place you could get to with one on the back of an ATV. 8)

I have a Greenland...that's the two seater that can be reconfigured to a one seat. This is the only kayak I have ever been in let alone owned so I cannot compare. It works like a hot damn for me tho...I have camped on Lake Powell in Az, with two people and all the gear lashed on/in. I have used it extensively on English Bay, Deep Cove, Harrison River, Bellingham Bay, Lake Union in Washington. Carry it about in my my motorhome, before that in my VW Westy. Two bags that are kind of unwieldly. I am a big guy so no problem there, but they are not light weights. I use a collapsing wee kayak cradle with wheels to get from parking area to the water.

Does ths help?

Hi T.

i had a Klepper but exchanged it for a Feathercraft K1 and never ever regreted the deal.

Check out the new Kahuna, i would recommend this kayak, with just 16 kilos, it is a blast! go for the bow and stern hatches opion.

Just sold my 89 Westy, with all the salt on the highways in Austria it just got too rusy!
