Got bad new from my online camera store today, they have shipped my last order of the new Panasonic Lumix TZ3 but can not get a hold of the matching underwater housing, before i go on my trip on June 23rd.

Any idea, where in Vancouver or Victoria i could get my hands on that thing?
Lens&Shutter on Broadway or Leos camera supply on Granville maybe?

Thanks for your help!

I recently went on a hunt for an underwater housing for an Olympus camera and called all the likely suspects - Lens & Shutter, Leo's, Broadway Camera, Kerrisdale Cameras, LD, the big boxes, etc. and discovered that the only store that had any housing of any kind in inventory was Kerrisdale Cameras and they only had older housings. The story I got from all of them was that underwater housings are special order items and virtually nobody stocks them in their own inventory. I was quoted about 3 weeks to get the one I wanted. I ended up getting an underwater camera instead.

Hi Sushiy!

just got an email from my camera shop, the housing for the lumix tz3 is there, waiting for me, ready to pick it up! This is great!:D

but wait a minute: the panasonic online store charges 200 us $ for the thing, how come that my shop wants 280 euros = 380 us $ for the same housing? :x

i smell something rotten in the state of Austria!

anyway, thanks again for your great offer, sushiy,

c u on Pender!

I guess they talked with your banker to find out how much you like to spend money on kayaking
You just have to take a lot of pics to make it worth the money :)
