Howdy',
I am planning a trip for 7 days in the Johnstone Straight area- Broughton Archipelago mostly- launching from Telegraph Cove.

Details to be determined soon, but most probably we'll go one way, and return back with the water taxi- covering more ground this way.

I am looking for another 2 experienced paddlers to join me and my partner...

Last year we had to cancel this trip as the wind was just terrible for 10 full days!

I've been planning to go to johnston straight for a couple of years now.
I'm a strong paddler with about 9 years of experience, however most of that has been on the Great Lakes in Ontario, or in the Okanagan. 2 years ago I did the Broken Island Group Solo for 5 days, and paddled from Penticton to Kelowna and back on the July 1st weekend. I would really like to do the Johnston Straight with a partner, because I've heard the rip-tide are quite a handfull.

I'm a german paddler with a lot of experience in flat-water-races and in wild-water-rivers. I'm planning a trip for 2010.
I'm thinking about a 1 or 2 week-trip in the region of QUADRA-ISLAND to watch whales and to spend the nights on wild or official campgrounds.
I also want to avoid overcrowded campgrounds. So I think to start end of august 2010 or so.
But I'm also open for other plans for see-kayak-trips in the region.
I'm locking for a partner or a group I can go with, because I have no experience in wilderness-trips.
