Hi there
I was wondering if anyone has tried an alternative to what looks like a nasty launch under Klemtu's BC ferry ramp.
ie. getting a shuttle to Klemtu village and launching from an easier beach?
Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

Joel

You might try contacting the Kitasoo Xai'xais Nation here: https://klemtu.com/visitors/. I've had mixed success in receiving responses but my queries to them have been of a very different nature. I haven't heard of of a shuttle service operating there and if you do get a positive response be sure to ask how the boats would be transported. There certainly are better places to launch in town.

The launch at the ferry dock isn’t terrible. It’s not great, by any stretch, but it’s doable. Much easier than transporting your boats & gear to another location.

FYI Just returned from a 3 week trip around Princess Royal. Stagger is correct. The launch was not terrible.
We brought 8pc of 4ft 2"x4" to aid in launching and landing. Those came in very handy and are now stowed under the ferry dock for the next kayak party. The biggest challenge was dealing with boat wake while landing on the sharp rocks.
