There is a single site at the head of Little Espinosa Inlet 500 meters.
k. Site Suitable for canoe or kayak. There is a ramp and a dock
suitable for small boats.
l. Relative Importance: This site provides access to Zeballos Inlet and
is a good staging campsite.
m. Notes:
i) There is parking available for two or three cars.
ii) Road is gravel from Hwy 19, usually well maintained.
iii) There is industrial traffic on the road 24/7.
iv) From Hwy 19 follow road to Zeballos. Near Zeballos take
the right fork and follow the road toward Fair Harbour. The
campsite is located where the road leaves Zeballos inlet.
v) Do not leave valuable items in sight. Theft has occurred
here.
vi) Site is popular with fishermen.

i) Parking is alongside road between Zeballos and Fair Harbour. There is a cleared space with room for several cars. Do not park parallel to the road.

iv) From Hwy 19 follow road to Zeballos. Near Zeballos take the right fork and follow the road toward Fair Harbour. Launch site is on the Fair Harbour end of the bridge and causeway.

ii) This site is used as a staging area by at least one outfitter.
iii) The M.V. Uchuck drops off and picks up close to this site through pre-arrangement.

iii) The shoreline to the west is very interesting with many sea caves and rock formations covered with sea life.
iv)The area is covered with scrub indicating that it is not often flooded.
v) There is a windbreak built on the beach area that is suitable for a gathering area.

ii) There is a plastic green 'outie' outhouse just inside the forested area – can be somewhat wet to get to with the dew on grasses along the trail.

h. Aspect: East
i. Site Accessibility: Sea
j. Estimated Distance to Alternate Camp Site: Rosa Islet 3 NM.

i) This site is an attractive place to camp.
ii) Staging site for those going North to Rugged Point.
m. Notes:
i) There are caves to explore in the forested area.
ii) Site is exposed to sun - there is no shade.
iii) This area is a unique deposit of pea gravel behind the main part of Catala Island. The area is being eroded at the west and material is deposited on the east.
iv) There is no access to the main part of Catala Island due to cliffs.
v) The MV Uchuck passes this site.
vi) Water can be found on Vancouver Island at:
49N 51' 18" 127W 01' 18" NAD 27
