The shot above looks like the “gap” alternative near Pirate’s Cove. One can leave and turn right, going around some real estate and up the west side of the island. Or you can turn left and head up the east side, then pass through the gap - when the tide is high enough - and save some distance.

There's another video sequence of that previous location - that I hadn't noticed. So here's what that shows in comparison [I clipped it but kept the resolution I think] :
